Expected weather impact on water resources during the coming month of October, 2021 In the coming month of October most parts of North-Western, Western, and Southwestern, and Southern high ground will be received a better amount of moisture condition. According to with this most part of Abay, BaroAkobo, upper and middle OmoGibe, Rift Valley, pocket places of upper Genaledawa, upper and middle Awash, upper and middle Wabishebele and Ogaden catchments will be expected to have sub-humid to humid moisture condition and in some areas will have wet to very wet moisture condition. The occurrence of occasional heavy fall will be expected in Abay, BaroAkobo, upper and middle OmoGibe and Rift Valley catchments and the incidence of flash flood and river rain flood will take place along their lower catchments. Meanwhile, for those catchments, it has a positive impact to enhance the availability of water resources. Over the rest of northern and northeastern catchments, the moisture performance will be decreased and the arid and semi-arid conditions will be dominated.
