The climatic conditions were favorable for the survival and distribution of malaria over: Amhara (N.Gonder,Awi.Bahir dar zuria and W.Gojjam), Beni.Gumuz (Metekel, Assosa, Kamashi) , Oromia (all welega zones, Illubabor, Jimma, Arsi, Tongo,Bale,Guji) , SNNPR (Sheka, Keffa, Bench Maji, Welayta , Basketo, Gedeo,South Omo,Sidama), All Gambela All zones except Zone 3 and Somalie(Korahe,Degahabur, Warder) of the country.
