Dekadal Agrometeorologicals

According to the weather forecast, in the coming second dekad of October, the Bega season dry, sunny and windy weather condition is likely to happen across most of the northern and northeastern parts of the country. This situation is expected to have a positive role, especially for crops that are in the process of drying. However, the moisture condition is likely to have a relative strength over some parts of the western and southern half of the country. Therefore, the expected enhanced moisture will have positive contribution to satisfy the daily water need of lately planted Meher crops that need complete growth, perennial plants and to improve the availability of pasture and drinking water particularly over the southern portion of the country. In addition to this moisture conditions to the south and southeast of the second rainy season will create favorable conditions for land preparation and sowing crops over in the highlands. On the other hand, in line with the expected dry weather condition areas have a good opportunity to harvest crop and also to collect and store rainwater.
