During the preceding Bega season of 2022/23, 200-500 mm rainfall received in the west and south-west, about 31-60 days and in the north, northeast and central parts of Ethiopia also the second rain benefiting areas of the south and south eastern regions had received 50-200 mm rain about 10-30 days. In the upcoming Belg season of 2023, the main rainy seasons areas of the southern and south eastern is anticipated to be normal to below normal and north eastern, central and north western Ethiopia more of near normal to above normal rain. In addition to that, the western parts of the country, is expected to receive dominantly near normal to above normal rainfall. Furthermore, it is also expected that in most parts of the country, the day time temperature will be relatively high.  Back to List |
